Primary cleaners are belt cleaners that are designed to scrape material off the conveyor belt. Primary cleaners are mounted to the head pulley, below the material flow. They are ideal for removing large pieces of material – typically about 60-70 percent of initial carryback. Primary cleaners are available in a variety of widths and blade types that can tackle even the toughest materials.

Conveyor belt cleaner used for head pulley primary and secondary cleaning system: Belt cleaner, called scraper as well,is mainly used at the head and tail of the belt conveyor. Belt cleaner placed on the belt head part, to scrape sticky materials and debrison the front of the belt; And belt cleaner placed on the tail of the belt conveyor is mainly used to scrape off the accumulated material and debris on the back of the belt to prevent the belt into the tail pulley.

Functions

The belt cleaner is one of the main components of the belt conveyor. In order to prevent dust during materialconveying and production process requirements, most of the materials conveyed need to maintain a certain water content, such as the water content of coal conveyor belts in power plants,the rate is about 12%. This will inevitably cause water-containing materials to stick to the belt. If it is not cleaned, it will continue to fall after the belt runs and the return pulleys collide.
