Self-aligning idlers have a strong ability to prevent belt damage and misalignment, utilizing friction resistance and the misalignment mechanism of the friction wheel arc to prevent and correct belt misalignment, thereby achieving a self-aligning effect. The materials include: steel pipe idlers, rubber idlers, fiberglass idlers, nylon idlers, high-molecular composite material idlers, polyurethane idlers, ceramic idlers, and resin idlers.

When the belt deviates, the damping idler creates internal friction resistance within the mechanism and resistance to the belt's movement from the conical shape of the idler. These two types of resistance directly push the bracket to deflect, causing the bracket to apply a correction force to the belt, prompting the belt to automatically correct itself and return to the center. The self-aligning idler has a simple and reasonable structure, low friction resistance, and good alignment effect, and can solve the problem of belt misalignment.
