The Principle of Conical Roller Correction

Conical idler rollers for correction are generally used in belt conveyor systems for material transportation, capable of solving the problem of belt misalignment and preventing a series of production issues such as belt edge wear, tearing, and damage to supports caused by misalignment.

Specifically, this correction system consists of an array of alignment rollers, with the key points (starting points) being 3 times the belt width before the conveyor belt turns and at the outlet of the guide chute. A set of alignment rollers of the corresponding specifications is placed every 50m to 100m to directly replace the original standard trough rollers and parallel rollers, forming an automatic correction system12. Its working principle is to utilize the special conical parts at both ends of the idler roller, causing the roller to rotate around its vertical axis, thereby achieving automatic belt alignment.
