The process of machining stepped shafts mainly includes the following steps:
1. Cutting: Select the rod material based on the diameter size.
2. Material cutting: Forging the rod material into the first shaft section, second shaft section, third shaft section, fourth shaft section, and fifth shaft section.
3. Preparatory heat treatment: Arrange for normalizing treatment of the stepped shaft billet after cutting before machining.
4. Ensure the end face dimensions: Then, following the principle of processing the surface first and then the holes, first machine the end face, ensuring the end face dimensions, and then mill the keyway.
5. Tempering: Performed on the stepped shaft after rough machining.
6. Fine Turning: Use the adjustment method to align with the centerline of the center point as the reference, fine turn the first and second shaft sections, then turn around and fine turn the fourth and fifth shaft sections.
7. End face of the workpiece: Turning the end face of a stepped shaft.
8. Keyway milling: Touch the tool to the surface of the stepped shaft, gently contacting the workpiece surface, ensuring that the keyways are symmetrically distributed along the centerline.
9. Quenching: Surface quenching treatment of the stepped shaft.
10. External Grinding: Use the adjustment method to align with the centerline of the center pin as a reference, and precisely grind each section of the stepped shaft.
11. Polishing: Perform mirror polishing on the machined stepped shaft.
