There are different types and configurations of belt conveyor idlers, such as carring idlers, return idlers, impact idlers, etc. Conveyor roller idlers are essential for enhancing the efficiency, longevity, and reliability of conveyor systems in industries such as mining, manufacturing, and logistics.

Structure

The structure of a roller usually consists of a cylindrical roller body, a shaft, and bearings. The roller body is the main component that carries the weight of the load and the shaft connects the roller body to the conveyor frame. The bearing ensures the smooth rotation of the roller body. Bearing Type: Commonly used load-bearing roller bearings are deep groove ball bearings. The type of bearing used depends on the load capacity of the conveyor system, operating speed, and environmental conditions.

Kinds of Idlers

Carrying Idlers – Used to support belt and material loaded on the belt conveyor. The standard trough angles are generally divided into 10°, 20°, 30 °, 35 ° and 45 °. Carrier rollers are usually made of high-quality steel, such as carbon steel or stainless steel, to ensure that they can withstand heavy loads and long-term wear and tear.

Return Idlers – Used to support the conveyor belt of return section.

Impact Idlers – Installed below the drop material section of the conveyor to reduce the impact of the falling material on the conveyor belt to prolong the service life of the conveyor belt.

Self-aligning Idlers – When the position of belt is changed from its center line on the same plane,the self aligning roller can correct this condition.There are three types of self-aligning idler:blocking roller, friction roller and taper self-aligning roller.They are used both carrier and return section.
