In 2025, Japan Imported 1.63 Billion Tons Of Coal

 According to customs trade statistics released by the Ministry of Finance Japan, the total coal import volume in Japan from January to December 2025 was 1.63 billion tons, a 2.3% decrease from the 1.67 billion tons in the same period last year. In December, the coal import volume was 14.7027 million tons, a 7.7% decrease year-on-year and a 13.0% increase month-on-month.
