The Iranian News Television reported on the 25th, citing a senior Iranian official, that Iran has rejected the ceasefire proposal put forward by the United States and has presented five conditions for a ceasefire from the Iranian side.
The official said that Iran will not agree to the timetable for ending the war set by U.S. President Trump, "Iran will only end the war when it decides to do so and when its own conditions are met."
The official outlined five conditions that Iran agreed to for ending the war, which are: the enemy must completely cease "acts of aggression and assassination"; establish a practical mechanism to ensure that war will not be imposed on Iran again; guarantee and clarify the payment of war reparations and compensation for losses; all fronts and all resistance organizations in the entire region must end the war; and Iran's exercise of sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz is and will remain a natural and legitimate right of Iran, which must be recognized.
The official stated that Iran has made it clear to all mediators that a ceasefire must be based on the acceptance of all Iranian conditions. "No negotiations will take place before this, and the end of the war will be determined by Iran, not the time frame envisioned by Trump."
The Trump administration was reported on the 24th to have handed over a "15-point plan" to Iran aimed at ending the conflict. From Iran's perspective, the U.S. side's "strategic failure" is characterized by "exorbitant demands," "impure motives," and has long since "lost its credibility."
