The 2026 China Geological Survey Bureau Work Conference Was Held

 On January 8, the 2026 China Geological Survey Bureau Work Conference was held in Beijing. The conference was deeply studied and implemented the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and its plenary sessions, carefully implemented the spirit of the Central Economic Work Conference and the Central Rural Work Conference, fully implemented the deployment of the National Natural Resources Work Conference, summarized the achievements of 2025, and deployed key tasks for 2026.

 The new round of mineral exploration breakthrough strategy actions have achieved new results, significantly strengthening basic geological survey work, continuously enhancing marine geological surveys, actively supporting and serving natural resource management, achieving new breakthroughs in geological innovation system construction, taking new steps in geological survey "going out," advancing equipment and base construction to a new level, presenting a new appearance for the cadre and talent team, and deepening the comprehensive governance of the Party.

 The meeting emphasized that the geological survey team in the new era must focus on the common goal of becoming a national team and leading the way during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, firmly adhering to the fundamental, public welfare, and strategic positioning of geological survey work, unifying thoughts and strengthening confidence to achieve solid results in all aspects of work. We must prioritize strengthening party building as the fundamental task, adhere to a problem-oriented approach, implement precise and categorized strategies, and establish a "big party building" framework that includes political leadership, organizational support, system constraints, personnel selection, and style of work.
