The impact bar is an accessory used at the discharge point of belt conveyors. It can effectively reduce the impact on the conveyor belt when materials fall, protecting the conveyor belt from damage. The following is the manufacturing process of the impact bar:
The impact bar is made by bonding impact rubber strips (commonly known as black boards) and ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (commonly known as white boards) through a special process.
The impact rubber strip is made by hot-vulcanizing the frame and rubber. The frame is generally made of either C-channel steel or aluminum alloy. It is mainly used to connect the supports of the impact bed. We equip it with anti-loosening bolts, which ensure that the impact bar is firmly fixed to the impact support and can withstand impact for a long time without becoming loose.
The wear-resistant material on the surface of the impact bar is a UHMW-PE (ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene) board. Its molecular weight can reach 5 million, while the molecular weight of an HDPE (high-density polyethylene) board is only between 40,000 and 120,000. Both materials are polyethylene, but due to the substantial increase in molecular weight, polyethylene's wear resistance, impact resistance, self-lubricating properties, and other performance characteristics undergo significant changes.
By integrating high-quality resources and using high-quality raw materials to process polymer polyethylene boards, our four advanced hot-vulcanization production lines ensure the close bonding of the three different materials used in the impact bar (polymer polyethylene board, rubber, and metal components). Vulcanized molding and raw material quality guarantee the quality of the impact bar.
