The return inverted v-type idler is a specially designed support device in the belt conveyor system, shaped like an inverted "V", composed of two inclined rollers combined at a specific angle, mainly used to adjust the running trajectory of the conveyor belt. The anti V-shaped roller group is often installed at the tail of the conveyor or in areas with low tension. It corrects the belt deviation by the lateral force generated by the inclined angle, preventing material spillage or belt wear.

The anti V-shaped roller set is usually composed of two steel rollers tilted at an angle of 45° or less, with the roller surface covered with rubber or polyurethane material to increase friction. The roller spacing is adjusted according to the width of the conveyor belt, and the common spacing range is 200-500 millimeters. The support frame is fixed on the conveyor frame by channel steel welding or bolt connection, and some models are equipped with adjustable angle movable bases to adapt to different working conditions.

When the conveyor belt tilts towards one side, the inclined roller exerts a lateral force on the belt, forcing it back to the center position. For example, when the belt deviates to the right, the contact area of the left roller increases, and the left thrust generated exceeds the force of the right roller, achieving automatic correction. This correction force is positively correlated with the inclination angle of the roller. For every 1° increase in angle, the correction efficiency is improved by about 3%, but exceeding 60° will accelerate the wear of the roller.

The application scenarios of the anti V-shaped roller group mainly focus on three types of environments:

• Mid section correction of long-distance conveyor: arrange a group every 50-80 meters.
• 3-5 meters behind the loading point: prevent material impact from causing belt deviation.
• Upslope sections with a tilt angle greater than 10°: counteract the belt side slip caused by gravity.
