The Main Differences Between Different Rollers

The main differences between groove-shaped, self-aligning, cushioning, and parallel rollers:

Grooved idler rollers: By supporting the conveyor belt in a grooved shape, they increase the load-bearing area and stability of the material, preventing it from spilling. They are suitable for conveying situations with large inclines, such as transporting coal in underground mines or transporting ore in mining operations.

Parallel idlers: Primarily used for transporting packaged items, such as packaged goods and boxed products, providing stable support. In the conveyor lines of logistics warehouses, parallel rollers are commonly used to transport regular packaging such as cardboard boxes.

Buffer rollers: Installed at the loading points of conveyors, such as coal loading areas at mine entrances and coal drop points in power plant coal conveying systems. When materials fall from a height and impact the conveyor belt, the rubber ring or elastic material on the surface of the buffer roller can effectively absorb the impact force, protecting the conveyor belt and the roller itself, reducing damage caused by the impact, and extending the service life of the conveyor belt and roller.

Self-aligning idler rollers: Used to prevent conveyor belt misalignment, suitable for all types of conveyor systems where there is a risk of belt misalignment. On long-distance, high-incline, or uneven material conveying lines, self-aligning idlers can automatically adjust the position of the conveyor belt to ensure its normal operation.
