Conveyor belt speed v (m/s):
Series: 0.8, 1.0, 1.25, 1.6, 2.0, 2.5, 3.15, 4.0, 5.0
1. As the belt speed increases, the conveyor's throughput can be increased;
2. At the same conveying capacity, increasing the belt speed can also reduce the load per unit length, thereby reducing the required conveyor belt.
Strength (belt strength, number of core layers, or steel rope diameter) can also reduce the conveyor belt width, thereby lowering the transportation cost.
The cost of the machine;
3. The increase in belt speed is too large, which will accelerate the wear and tear of the conveyor belt at the loading area and where the cleaning device is installed, and also increases the degree of breakage of brittle materials; when transporting dry materials, it can cause dust pollution, etc.;
4. Principle of Belt Speed Determination:
① Higher belt speed: long distance, large capacity, wide bandwidth;
② Lower belt speed: larger inclination angle and downward transportation. The shorter the conveying distance, the lower the belt speed should be; large particle size,
Materials with high abrasiveness, prone to breakage and dust generation;
③ When using a discharge cart for unloading, the belt speed should not exceed 2.5m/s;
④ When using a plow-type unloader for unloading, the belt speed should not exceed 2.0m/s;
⑤ When conveying complete items, the belt speed shall not exceed 1.25m/s;
The belt speed of the belt conveyor used for hand-selected materials is generally 0.3m/s.
