The Working Principle of a V-Plow Scraper

The working principle of a V-plow scraper is primarily based on its unique V-shaped structure and blade design. It is used to remove residual materials and debris from the non-carrying side of a belt conveyor, preventing them from being carried into the tail pulley, thereby protecting the conveyor belt and extending equipment lifespan.

The specific working principle is as follows:

V-shaped structure design: The V-angle of a V-plow belt cleaner is typically 60 degrees, with 30mm or 300mm long blades on both sides. This design allows the cleaner to effectively scrape off accumulated material and debris from the underside of the belt, preventing it from being carried into the tail pulley.

Scraper material and design: The scraper blades of a V-plow cleaner are usually made of high-strength polyurethane, which features high elasticity, low friction coefficient, flame retardancy, antistatic properties, wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. They are less likely to damage the belt and do not stick to materials, offering a long service life. The front scraper blade adopts an arc-shaped design, which, compared to traditional flat designs, is less prone to jumping. Even if the conveyor belt has a raised surface, the scraper blade will not fold inwards, thus ensuring the stability of the scraping effect.

Automatic adjustment function: The parallel linkage frame of the V-plow cleaner allows it to maintain close contact with the conveyor belt and automatically adjust its position based on the wear of the scraper blades and changes in the conveyor belt's position, ensuring that the cleaning effect is always at its optimal state.

Application scenario: The V-shaped cleaner is mainly installed at the tail end of the belt conveyor to clean the residual material on the non-working surface of the return belt and to discharge the material to both sides for easy centralized cleaning. It is suitable for conveyor belts that transport various materials such as coal, salt, iron ore, sand, gravel, and fertilizers.
