The Working Principle of UHMW-PE Rollers

The working principle of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMW-PE) rollers is similar to that of other rollers, primarily relying on the friction between the roller and the belt to drive the outer cylinder of the roller to rotate, thereby providing support and transmission. The magnitude of this friction is determined by the roller's rotational resistance, the weight of the belt, and the weight of the material. Since UHMW-PE has an extremely low friction coefficient, similar to that of ice, it can effectively reduce friction with the belt surface when used as a roller surface, thereby extending the lifespan of the belt.

In addition, ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene rollers have the following characteristics:

Wear resistance: It has better wear resistance than any other engineering plastic, extending its service life by more than three times compared to steel rollers.

Impact resistance: The molecular structure of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene is a tangled linear arrangement, providing extremely high impact strength.

Corrosion resistance: At room temperature, it is difficult for any concentration of acids, alkalis, salts, sulfur, and other corrosive media to react chemically with it.

Self-lubrication: Low friction resistance, no need for frequent oiling, saving maintenance costs and reducing environmental pollution.

Light weight: Low specific gravity, easy and convenient to install and replace, operates without noise, reducing work intensity and improving the working environment.
