There are differences between the primary cleaner and the secondary cleaner in terms of working principles, applicable scenarios, and installation locations:
Working principle: A primary cleaner typically performs a single cleaning task, starting from the initial position and continuing until completion; while a secondary cleaner is used for a second cleaning pass to ensure more thorough removal of residual material.
Suitable scenarios: The first-stage cleaner is suitable for daily floor cleaning tasks; the second-stage cleaner is more suitable for dirtier environments that require more thorough cleaning, especially for the second-time cleaning of attachments on the underside of the return belt of a belt conveyor.
Installation Position: The second-stage cleaner is installed in the return section below the unloading roller to address the environmental pollution caused by residual material spilling in the conveyor return section, as well as the problem of residual material adhering to the rollers and causing the return belt to deviate.
Selection and Maintenance: The selection of the second-stage cleaner needs to be based on specific industrial and mining conditions, such as the type of conveyor belt joints and the shape of the belt, otherwise it may affect the cleaning effect or even cause belt damage. In addition, the wear resistance of the scraper blade, its installation position, and maintenance conditions will also affect its performance.
