Causes of Roller Surface Wear

Under normal use, the ends of the roller surface should not come into contact with the conveyor belt, so there should be no wear on the ends of the roller surface If wear and tear occurs, there are several possible reasons:

① This set of supports is installed higher than the adjacent supports, causing the conveyor belt to rise at this point, which results in this set of rollers bearing the load of the three nearby sets of rollers. The idler roller sets are used at both ends of the conveyor, without transition supports, and the transition section length is insufficient (idler roller sets should not be installed within a distance of twice the belt width from the head and tail wheels).

②The troughing resistance of the conveyor belt causes excessive load on the idler roller sets, and the belt sticks closely to the roller surface, leading to wear and tear.

③ Used on the self-aligning idler roller set, where the height of the idler roller set is intentionally raised to enhance friction and ensure self-alignment performance.

④ When placed at the receiving area, the roller surface can also be completely worn down due to the impact of the material.
